Finishing
Precision at every stage
Diamond cutting is only one stage of a complete refurbishment process. Preparation, repair, machining and protective finishing all contribute to the final result.
Inspect
Each wheel is assessed for damage, corrosion, previous machining and suitability.
Strip
Old coatings and lacquer are removed so the wheel can be properly prepared.
Repair
Kerb damage, corrosion and suitable surface imperfections are corrected.
CNC Diamond Cut
The wheel face is precision machined to recreate the characteristic bright cut finish.
Protect
Protective finishing is applied to help preserve the machined surface.
Quality Check
The finished wheel is inspected before collection or refitting.

Diamond cutting is ideal for alloy wheels designed with a bright machined face, often combined with painted recesses or contrasting spoke areas.
Wheels we diamond cut
Not every wheel is suitable for repeated machining. Our team can assess the wheel design, condition and previous refurbishment history before work begins.
Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels
Suitable multi-spoke and single-face machined designs.
Bi-Colour Wheels
Painted recesses combined with a precision-machined face.
OEM Machined Finishes
Factory-style bright machined alloy wheel designs.
Face-Machined Wheels
Wheels where the visible face has been machined for contrast.
Diamond cutting FAQs
Clear answers to the questions customers commonly ask before having diamond cut alloy wheels refurbished.
How long does diamond cutting take?
Turnaround depends on wheel condition, quantity, required repairs and the full refurbishment process. We can confirm an expected timeframe once the wheels are assessed.
Can all alloy wheels be diamond cut?
No. The wheel must have a suitable machined design and sufficient material for safe machining. Previous cuts and wheel condition also need to be considered.
Will diamond cutting remove kerb damage?
Suitable kerb and face damage can often be corrected as part of the refurbishment before the wheel is precision machined.
Can diamond cut wheels be cut more than once?
Often yes, but there is a limit to how much material can safely be removed. Each wheel must be assessed individually before further machining.
Why do diamond cut wheels need protective finishing?
The machined metal face requires protection from the environment after cutting. The complete refurbishment process therefore includes protective finishing.
Can you change the colour behind the diamond cut face?
Depending on the wheel design, the painted sections can often be refinished in a different compatible colour before the face is machined.
Is diamond cutting the same as polishing?
No. Diamond cutting uses precision machining to create fine visible lines across the wheel face, while polishing produces a different type of reflective surface finish.
How do I know if my wheel is diamond cut?
Diamond cut wheels typically have a bright machined face with fine concentric machining lines, often combined with darker painted areas between the spokes.
Still have questions?
Send photographs of your wheels and we can help identify the finish, assess visible damage and advise whether diamond cutting is appropriate.
